Lionesses win 3-1 in Sydney to set up showdown with Spain

Ella Toone, Alessia Russo and Nikita Parris scored the goals as England reached their first ever Women's World Cup final with a 3-1 victory over co-hosts Australia in Sydney.

The Lionesses will now face Spain in the final on Sunday, which will be shown live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.

England have enjoyed a superb tournament so far, winning all five of their matches and scoring 12 goals in the process.

They will be confident of lifting the trophy for the first time when they face Spain, who they beat 2-1 in the group stages.

After watching England's 3-1 victory against Australia, many fans faced long queues at train stations as they made their way home from the game.
